Bjorn is a photographer born and raised in The Netherlands. He has a BA in Photography from The Royal Academy of Fine Arts, (KABK) The Hague and a Bachelor of Education (BEd) from Fontys University of Applied Science (NL). As a photographer, the world is his studio. Bjorn is attracted to natural moments of people experiencing life. The protagonists in his images enjoy real-life moments, products, or places. His photographic work can be recognized as 'slices of life', visualized in aesthetically appealing images in which light, selective use of color and strong graphic compositions play an important role. One of his goals is to make the viewer feel like they are part of the visualized moment. Bjorn loves working on location, making use of the aesthetics of the location, and adapting to it. To make the shot look perfect, he collaborates with a great team of stylists, make-up artists, and models. Whatever it takes, the final image should look natural, attractive, and real.

Next to his commercial work for brands and advertising agencies, Bjorn works on long-term personal projects. Within his personal work he is interested in people who are looking for personal forms of freedom, heroism, and toughness. His work has been exhibited at (selection) ArtAmsterdam, We like Art Amsterdam, Realisme Amsterdam, Hoogtij Den Haag, Fotofestival Naarden (NL) and PhotoNOLA (US). Bjorn is also a lecturer at the Photography Department of the Royal Academy of Art (KABK) in The Hague, The Netherlands
